The CRM Technologies Team plays a critical role in optimizing our sales processes, streamlining customer interactions, and maximizing the efficiency of our sales efforts. By leveraging Salesforce and Quote-to-Cash technologies, the team ensures that business users have the tools, automation, and operational support needed to effectively manage quoting, pricing, approvals, and downstream business processes.
With deep expertise in Salesforce development, CPQ, integrations, and platform operations, the team continuously enhances the CRM ecosystem to meet evolving business needs. The team partners closely with stakeholders across Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, Deal Desk, and Engineering to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable Quote-to-Cash solutions.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Engineer 3 to design, build, and support scalable Salesforce CPQ and Quote-to-Cash solutions that power MongoDB’s sales processes. This role combines strong hands-on development, CPQ configuration expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a practical engineering mindset to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable business systems.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Gurugram for our hybrid working model.
What you’ll do
Design, build, and support Salesforce CPQ solutions across product modeling, pricing, quoting, approvals, amendments, and renewalsConfigure and enhance CPQ capabilities including product rules, price rules, bundles, product options, quote templates, discounting, and approval workflowsPartner with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, and Deal Desk to understand requirements, identify process gaps, and deliver scalable business solutionsDevelop and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, and platform APIs to support CPQ and related processesBuild and support integrations between Salesforce CPQ and external systems such as ERP, billing, payment, contract, and other enterprise platformsParticipate in technical design, story grooming, sprint planning, testing, code reviews, release management, and production deploymentsTroubleshoot and resolve issues across CPQ configuration, pricing logic, automation, integrations, and system performanceSupport documentation, UAT, regression testing, and user enablement to improve adoption and platform reliabilityEnsure solutions align with security, data governance, and Salesforce platform best practicesLeverage AI-powered engineering tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce, GitHub Copilot, and similar capabilities to improve productivity, analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation, while using sound judgment around security, accuracy, and responsible AI usage
Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality technical solutions on the Salesforce and CPQ platform aligned with business requirements and engineering standardsSupport enhancements, break/fix issues, and ongoing maintenance across Quote-to-Cash workflows and related integrationsCollaborate with technical and business teams to communicate delivery status, technical issues, and solution options clearly and effectivelyContribute to strong engineering practices across code quality, documentation, testing, and release readinessIdentify opportunities to improve system performance, simplify processes, reduce technical debt, and strengthen overall platform reliabilityWork effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering with quality and accountability
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience6+ years of Salesforce development experience, including strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce CPQStrong understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes, sales workflows, and Salesforce CPQ best practicesHands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, and REST/SOAP APIsExperience with product modeling, pricing rules, quoting workflows, approvals, amendments, and renewalsExperience integrating Salesforce with external systems such as ERP, billing, payment, or other enterprise platformsFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, version control, and Salesforce release practicesStrong understanding of Salesforce security, data governance, and implementation best practicesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skillsSalesforce CPQ Specialist and Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certifications required
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Salesforce Billing and its underlying data modelExperience with Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows, or similar DevOps toolingFamiliarity with Visualforce, HTML, JavaScript, and CSSExperience preparing training materials, supporting UAT/regression testing, and guiding business users through solution adoptionPractical familiarity with AI-powered and agentic tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce, and similar platforms, with the ability to use them thoughtfully to improve delivery speed, analysis, documentation quality, and engineering effectiveness
Success Measures
In 3 months, you will: Develop a strong understanding of MongoDB’s CPQ implementation, product and pricing structure, Quote-to-Cash flows, and stakeholder processesIn 6 months, you will: Successfully deliver meaningful enhancements across Salesforce CPQ, support key pricing and quoting workflows, and become a dependable contributor to ongoing QTC initiativesIn 12 months, you will: Become a trusted technical SME for Salesforce CPQ and related Quote-to-Cash processes, helping drive scalable improvements across pricing approvals, renewals, amendments, and downstream integrations
