About this opportunity:

Ericsson is seeking a diligent and versatile DevOps / Automation Engineer to join its growing team. You will help automate solution delivery by aligning development, deployment, and operational processes with design objectives, while improving delivery speed, cost efficiency, quality, reliability, and scalability.

Working in an Agile and collaborative environment, you will contribute to reusable automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, release processes, infrastructure solutions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will do:

Design, implement, operate, and support scalable DevOps and infrastructure automation solutions. Translate customer requirements, pre-studies, and operational needs into secure, reliable, and efficient solutions. Develop automation scripts, tools, frameworks, software components, and technical specifications. Design, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, integration, migration, deployment, and release activities. Automate and manage official product releases through repeatable, controlled, and high-quality processes. Configure, integrate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain products and development environments across the DevOps lifecycle. Provision and administer virtual machines, containers, and cloud-native environments using cloud platforms, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices technologies. Manage source-code repositories, configuration, build systems, release processes, and environment provisioning, including Git and ClearCase. Apply incremental testing, integration, validation, and deployment practices to support continuous delivery. Identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, performance, reliability, quality, and scalability. Evaluate emerging DevOps, cloud, infrastructure automation, and enterprise security technologies. Collaborate across teams to resolve technical issues, remove delivery obstacles, and implement effective solutions. Support technical excellence through documentation, competence development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. Act as an Agile or DevOps advocate or coach when required.

The skills you bring:

5+ years of exp with bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, or similar tools. Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Shell/Bash, Ansible, Java, and JavaScript. Working knowledge of JSON, YAML, XML, and XSLT. Experience with configuration management and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Rundeck, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, and Fabric. Strong Linux system administration and Bash scripting skills. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Vagrant, and containerised application environments. Knowledge of public and private cloud platforms, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. Experience with Red Hat OpenStack and Red Hat OpenShift. Understanding of microservices, Spring Boot, and cloud-native application architectures. Experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices. Knowledge of Spinnaker or comparable continuous delivery platforms. Ability to work effectively in Agile, cross-functional, and collaborative environments.

Additional Preferred Requirements

Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and release management. Ability to analyse processes, methods, and tools and identify opportunities for improvement. Experience working in Agile environments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Comfort working with open-source technologies and a wide range of DevOps tools. Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different technical and organisational functions. Strong communication skills and a willingness to seek knowledge beyond functional boundaries.
