Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, manage, and maintain AWS and on-premise infrastructure environments. Build and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines for application delivery and deployment automation. Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and similar tools. Monitor infrastructure, applications, and services to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Perform troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis for application and infrastructure issues. Manage application log collection, backup, retention, and analysis activities. Configure and troubleshoot load balancers, web servers, and reverse proxies such as Nginx. Troubleshoot networking issues related to routing, connectivity, VPNs, DNS, firewalls, and cloud networking. Support deployment and management of microservices-based architectures and distributed systems. Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes, platform reliability, and operational efficiency. Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate technical teams and drive them to closure. Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and knowledge repositories. Implement security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and infrastructure hardening measures. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, reliability, scalability, and platform optimization.
Required Technical Skills
2-5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, System Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role. Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, Route 53, SES, ElastiCache, RDS, Redshift, CloudFormation, and related services. Proficiency in Python and Python-based automation, scripting, and testing practices. Experience working in Agile development and delivery environments. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins. Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes. Experience managing CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, Travis CI, Drone, Mule, Spinnaker, or similar tools. Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCPDUMP, SSL, CDN, VPCs, Subnets, VPNs, Routing, and Firewalls. Experience deploying and supporting microservices architectures and cloud-native applications. Knowledge of cloud security, secure deployment practices, and infrastructure hardening. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, PagerDuty, Sentry, Prometheus, and Icinga. Knowledge of Git-based source control and modern DevOps workflows. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. AWS Solution Architect Associate or Professional certification preferred. Experience working with high-traffic, large-scale, globally distributed applications. Exposure to distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and cloud-native platforms. Experience with databases and data platforms including SQL, NoSQL, Redis, and other caching technologies. Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, ELK Stack, and related messaging and analytics platforms. Experience supporting mission-critical production environments. Exposure to hybrid cloud and multi-environment infrastructure management
