About The Team

The Procurement team at OakNorth manages supplier relationships, contract lifecycle activities, and purchasing operations across our India, UK, and US entities. We work closely with Finance, Legal, IT, and Compliance to ensure every supplier engagement is commercially sound, compliant, and well-governed — while continuously improving the processes and tools that underpin our procurement function.

About The Role

We're looking for an Associate to join our Procurement and Supplier Management team, supporting end-to-end procurement activities from sourcing and contracting through to supplier due diligence, invoice processing, and performance management. You'll be hands-on across both strategic and operational procurement, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers while supporting our UK and US teams. This role suits someone who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a regulated, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

Lead sourcing and tendering activities for new and renewing supplier engagements, including RFx preparation and evaluation; benchmark supplier pricing and commercial terms to support value-for-money assessments. Manage contract lifecycle activities — drafting, negotiation support, execution, amendments, and renewals — in collaboration with Legal; maintain and update the contract register, tracking key dates and milestones. Support category management across key spend areas, identifying consolidation opportunities and preferred supplier strategies; ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks. Create and process purchase requisitions (PRs) in NetSuite, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and budget alignment; upload vendor invoices, match against POs, and coordinate with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies and payment conflicts. Manage end-to-end supplier due diligence across OakNorth, including risk assessments (sanctions, background, and creditworthiness checks), payment reconciliations, and banking detail verification. Manage vendor onboarding and offboarding, maintain records in Salesforce, and support supplier governance and performance review meetings; resolve exceptions, process risks, and in-life issues as they arise. Maintain trackers (DD tracker, Charity tracker, spend file) for both ONB and ONGPL; support brand monitoring across the supplier base. Support preparation of procurement dashboards and management reports; build data models and visualisations using Excel, Power BI, or equivalent tools. Serve as the key liaison between internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, IT, Compliance) and external suppliers; available to support UK and US teams during critical periods including month-end, year-end, audit cycles, and major contract renewals.

YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE…

3–5 years of experience in procurement operations or supplier management, preferably in financial services or a regulated environment. Hands-on experience with NetSuite (PRs, invoicing, vendor management) and Salesforce (vendor records). Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis; familiarity with Power BI or Tableau desirable. Understanding of third-party risk management, procurement compliance frameworks, and ESG principles. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently across geographies and time zones.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with AI/ML tools and a demonstrable ability to apply them in day-to-day procurement workflows. Experience with supplier due diligence processes including sanctions and creditworthiness checks. Exposure to category management or preferred supplier strategy development.
