MongoDB is hiring for the role of Account Development Representative!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
Own outbound prospecting within a defined set of strategic accounts, working closely with your aligned Account Executives and Sales stakeholders
Research organizations to uncover new initiatives and opportunities where MongoDB can add value
Execute thoughtful outbound outreach across phone, email, and social channels to generate qualified pipeline
Lead structured discovery conversations to understand business priorities and technical environments
Apply MEDDIC qualification principles to ensure high-quality opportunities before advancing them
Stay engaged through the early stages of the sales cycle, contributing to strong handoffs and clean deal progression
Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene in Salesforce and sales engagement tools
Consistently exceed monthly and quarterly opportunity targets
Requirements:
Has a track record of setting goals and exceeding them in competitive or performance-driven environments
Communicates clearly and confidently
Takes ownership of outcomes and follows through on commitments
Can manage a high level of outbound activity while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Is coachable and actively applies feedback
Learns technical concepts quickly and is curious about how businesses use technology

Is comfortable initiating conversations with senior stakeholders and handling rejection professionally
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Formal training or certifications in sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger) or technical disciplines
Prior experience in sales, business development, or other quota-carrying/customer-facing roles
Exposure to databases, cloud infrastructure, open-source technologies, or modern application development
Experience using Salesforce and sales engagement platforms such as Outreach or Sales Navigator
