Job Title : Executive – Finance & Accounts

Location : Kolkata

Role: The Executive - Finance & Accounts will handle daily accounting operations, assist in statutory compliance, support the finance team with reporting and reconciliations, ensuring smooth and accurate financial processes.

Responsibilities

Process day-to-day accounting entries - bookkeeping, journal entries and ledger maintenance.Handle Accounts Receivable (AR), including customer invoicing.Track and follow up on receivables.Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Support revenue accounting and ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of revenue-related transactions.Support GST, TDS and other statutory return filings and working papers.Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.Support month-end and year-end closing activities.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data and documentation.Coordinate with auditors during statutory and internal audits by providing required data.Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.Identify process gaps and contribute to improving accounting and reporting processes.Support ad hoc finance tasks as required.

Requirements

B.Com / M.Com / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) or equivalent qualification. 2-4 years of relevant experienceStrong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.Hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliation.Working knowledge of GST, TDS and basic statutory compliance.Good understanding of revenue accounting and financial reconciliations.Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.Experience in preparing MIS reports and management reports.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Good attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.Basic understanding of Ind AS.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.Good communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
