Job Description

We are seeking SAP Datasphere and SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) consultant to design, build, and optimize our enterprise data and analytics landscape. The ideal candidate has strong SQL scripting, debugging, and performance tuning skills, a solid grounding in SAP BW concepts, and genuine curiosity to grow into functional modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, etc.) over time.

This role requires a proactive team player with excellent collaboration and communication abilities, capable of taking full ownership across multi‑module business processes to support operational excellence and achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build data models, views, and data flow in SAP Datasphere aligned to business reporting needs.Write and optimize SQL/SQL Script for transformations, calculated views, and custom logic.Debug data load failures, connection issues, and modelling errors; drive root-cause analysis and fixes.Monitor and tune performance of models, data flows, and queries; recommend and implement improvements.Collaborate with business/functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data models.Document data models, data lineage, and technical design decisions.Stay current with SAP's evolving Datasphere/BDC roadmap and proactively suggest adoption of new capabilities.Demonstrate a strong learning mindset, with willingness to expand skills into:Broader SAP functional concepts

Position Qualifications

Experience Level: 5+ years of experience

Technical:Primary skill (Must Have): SAP Datasphere: space and connection setup, data modeling (graphical & SQL-based views), data flows, replication flows, task chains, and data marketplace/data sharing concepts.SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC): understanding of the BDC architecture — data products, Business Data Fabric, integration with SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP HANA CloudStrong SQL scripting: complex queries, stored procedures, table functions, and SQL Script (HANA) for transformation logic.Debugging: ability to trace and resolve issues across data flows, calculation views, replication jobs, and connections.Performance fine-tuning: query optimization, partitioning, indexing strategies, memory/resource management, and identifying bottlenecks in models and pipelines.Strong willingness to adapt and cross-train and ability to learnSecondary skill (Nice to Have): SAP certification in Datasphere, BW/4HANA, or HANA.Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), or Databricks integration within BDC.Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting/dashboarding on top of Datasphere models.Openness to developing functional knowledge in one or more SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, HCMFamiliarity with SAP HANA Cloud administration basics.Exposure to SAP FI/MM/SD modules.Experience in Agile or hybrid methodologies.SAP Central Finance Non-Technical: Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact confidently with clients in onsite/offshore modelsStrong multitasking capability and ability to manage priorities with high accuracy and attention to detailQuick learner with ability to grasp new technologies through instruction and self-trainingPerseverance and positive attitude to solve challenges and deliver resultsEffective team player with proven ability to work across diverse functional areasEagerness to learn Functional Modules.Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and management.Support requirement gathering, solution design, testing (SIT/UAT), deployments, and production operations.Provide clear documentation, status updates, and user communication.

Logistical Requirements: Will be located at Hyderabad, India office

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

4+ years of experience in SAP data & analytics, with recent hands-on exposure to SAP Datasphere (or SAP Data Warehouse Cloud) and/or SAP BDC.
