Roles & Responsibilities

Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, Computational Complexity, and Problem SolvingExcellent working knowledge of Java (17+), including Concurrency and Multithreading, the Collections Framework, JVM Internals, Performance Optimization, and Functional Programming conceptsHands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Java/Spring-based applications, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, RESTful APIs, and Event-Driven ArchitecturesProven experience in building and operating microservices architectures, including service decomposition, resilience patterns, scalability, and observabilityStrong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD), including the implementation of common design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean architecture practicesExcellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL optimization, query tuning, indexing strategies, and performance troubleshootingExperience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks, including JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test, Karate, and Cucumber (BDD)Proficiency with modern SDLC and DevOps tools, including Git/Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, and JIRAExperience working with cloud and container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (preferred)Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as ELKStrong automation and scripting capabilitiesAbility to work effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments and quickly adapt to evolving business and technology requirements

AI-Assisted Development & Engineering Productivity(GenAI)

Experience using Generative AI-powered software development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality, such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code, and Claude CLI.Ability to leverage AI tools for: Code generation and refactoring, Unit test creation, API development and documentation, Code review assistance, Root cause analysis and troubleshooting, Performance optimization recommendationsUnderstanding of responsible AI-assisted development practices including Validating AI-generated code, conducting security and compliance reviews, Prompt engineering for software development, AI-assisted debugging and system analysis, Maintaining code quality, maintainability, and governance standards

Requirements:

Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with strong backend engineering expertiseExperience in Banking, Payments, FinTech, or high-volume transaction processing systemsExperience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud-native application developmentContributions to engineering productivity initiatives, developer platforms, or AI-driven development practices will be highly valuedStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed teams and stakeholders.
