IDFC FIRST Bank is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Portfolio Counsellor. Key Roles & Responsibilities

Investment & Portfolio ManagementReview and analyse clients’ existing portfolios to ensure alignment with risk profile, investment horizon, and changing market conditionsSupport branch teams in conducting structured portfolio reviews and investment discussions with clients.Recommend portfolio rebalancing and tactical investment actions in line with market outlook and approved bank investment frameworksDrive sustainable AUM growth through structured advisory, portfolio activation, and deepening of existing client relationships.Support cross-sell and up-sell of approved wealth and investment products, ensuring suitability and long-term value creation.Identify dormant or under-invested client portfolios and work with RMs to improve engagement and investment penetration.Contribute to revenue growth while maintaining strong advisory quality metrics. RM & Branch EnablementPartner closely with branch and PBG RMs, VRMs, and branch teams to strengthen investment conversations and client engagement.Support RMs in client acquisition, relationship deepening, and wallet share enhancement through robust investment solutioning.Participate in joint client meetings, investment clinics, and branch-level initiatives to drive wealth business outcomes.Act as the primary investment support for the frontline teams within allocated geography/portfolio. Product & Market ExpertiseMaintain deep understanding of IDFC FIRST Bank’s wealth product suite including mutual funds, LAS, PMS, AIFs, fixed income, insurance, and alternates (as applicable).Stay updated on market trends, economic indicators, regulatory developments, and internal investment views.Translate investment research and market insights into actionable client-level recommendations. Compliance, Quality & GovernanceEnsure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and IDFC FIRST Bank’s ethical advisory standards.Maintain high levels of process hygiene, documentation accuracy, and audit readiness.Support resolution of compliance observations and proactively mitigate advisory and operational risks.Embed a customer-first, transparent, and suitability-driven advisory approach always. Customer Experience & Relationship ManagementEnhance overall client experience by enabling informed, timely, and consistent investment engagement.Support resolution of client queries related to portfolio performance, products, and investment execution.Work with RMs to strengthen client retention and long-term trust. MIS & Performance DisciplineMaintain accurate records of client interactions, portfolio reviews, and investment recommendations.Track and monitor key business parameters such as AUM movement, product mix, and advisory quality metrics.Support management reporting and review forums.

Education Qualifications:

Post Graduation: Any (MBA / Finance preferred)Mandatory / Preferred Certifications: AMFI, NISM (as applicable), CFP / CFA preferred
