Full job description
We are looking for an L1 Software Engineer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to build, enhance, test, and support modern web applications and backend services.
The ideal candidate has solid development experience in C#/.NET Core, React, REST APIs, and relational databases, along with a good understanding of software engineering fundamentals, source control, testing, and CI/CD practices.
Experience with GCP, JFrog, containerization, and AI-assisted development tools is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core. Build responsive web applications and reusable UI components using React and JavaScript/TypeScript. Design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs. Develop data-access components and write efficient SQL queries using PostgreSQL, AlloyDB, or equivalent relational databases. Implement clean, reusable, maintainable, secure, and testable code following established engineering standards. Develop and maintain unit and integration tests. Debug application issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement appropriate fixes. Use Git/Bitbucket for source control, branching, pull requests, and code reviews. Work with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent artifact repositories for package and artifact management. Participate in application build, deployment, and CI/CD activities. Follow best practices for security, reliability, performance, and maintainability. Collaborate with senior engineers, QA, Product Owners, DevOps/Platform teams, and other engineering teams. Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Use GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI-assisted development tools responsibly to improve productivity, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting. Continuously learn and adopt relevant technologies, tools, and engineering practices.
Required Technical Skills
1–2 years of professional software development experience. Strong programming skills in C# and .NET Core / ASP.NET Core. Hands-on experience developing web applications using React. Good knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript. Hands-on experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs. Experience with PostgreSQL, AlloyDB, or equivalent relational databases. Good understanding of SQL, database design, and data-access concepts. Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles. Experience with Git, Bitbucket, or equivalent source-control platforms. Understanding unit testing, debugging, exception handling, and application logging. Good understanding of HTTP, JSON, authentication/authorization, and web application fundamentals.
Preferred / Good To Have
Hands-on or project experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Exposure GCP services for application hosting, databases, APIs, or integration. Experience with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent artifact management solutions. Exposure to Git-based CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments. Experience with Docker and containerized applications. Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed applications. Experience with Entity Framework Core or equivalent ORM frameworks. Understanding application security and secure coding practices. Experience using GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI-assisted development tools.
