Technician I - Flight Operations

Job Description: Drone / UAV AssemblerJob Title: Drone Assembly Technician / UAV Production SpecialistDepartment: Manufacturing & ProductionReports To: Production Manager / Lead Hardware EngineerJob OverviewWe are looking for a precision-oriented Drone Assembler to join our hardware team. In this role, you will assemble, wire, and calibrate UAV airframes, electronics, and sub-systems. You will bridge mechanical engineering design with production execution, ensuring every aircraft meets strict quality and safety standard tolerances before leaving the shop floor.Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Assembly: Assemble multi-rotor and fixed-wing airframes, motor mounts, carbon-fiber components, gimbals, and landing gear using precision hand tools.Electronics & Harnessing: Perform fine soldering, wire crimping, and routing for Power Distribution Boards (PDB), Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs), flight controllers, and payload connections.System Integration: Mount and interface flight controllers (Pixhawk, Cube, Betaflight, DJI), GPS modules, telemetry radios, optical sensors, and companion computers.Bench Testing & Calibration: Conduct initial hardware flashing, sensor calibrations (IMU, compass, airspeed), motor direction checks, and short-circuit testing.Quality Assurance & Compliance: Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), document serial numbers, track inventory, and report manufacturing defects to engineering.Key QualificationsEducation: Diploma or ITI in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related trade.Experience: 1–3 years hands-on experience in drone assembly, PCB rework, or precision electronics manufacturing.Technical Skills:Proficient in SMD/TH soldering, wiring, and crimping.Familiarity with reading schematics, CAD models, and technical assembly drawings.Comfort using multimeters, power supplies, and hand tools.
