We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager - Business Strategy and PMO to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will shape strategic priorities, establish a rigorous operating cadence, and drive cross-functional execution of high-impact initiatives for the India Cross Border Trade business.

About the TeamThe Walmart India Cross Border team provides an opportunity for Indian brands, manufacturers, MSMEs, and other potential sellers to sell their products across global Walmart online marketplaces, helping them expand internationally as cross-border sellers on Walmart Marketplace.

About the Role:As the Senior Manager - Business Strategy and PMO, you will partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to translate strategic priorities into clear plans, measurable outcomes, and disciplined execution. You will lead annual and long-range planning, portfolio governance, business reviews, and executive reporting while proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities. This role requires strategic thinking, strong program leadership, analytical depth, executive communication, and the ability to influence across a fast-paced, matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and drive the business strategy, annual operating plan, and long-range priorities for the India Cross Border Trade organization.Identify key opportunities for business growth; develop and execute plans to leverage these opportunities. Drive internal productivity and operational efficiency improvement projects. Translate strategic objectives into clear workstreams, milestones, owners, success metrics, and governance mechanisms.Lead the PMO for high-impact, cross-functional programs from definition through execution, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, dependencies, and outcomes.Establish and manage operating cadences, including weekly program reviews, monthly business reviews, quarterly business reviews, and leadership updates.Create executive-ready narratives, dashboards, and decision documents that communicate progress, insights, risks, and recommendations clearly.Partner with Business Development, Category Management, Account Management, Operations, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to drive coordinated execution.Identify business performance trends, root causes, and growth opportunities through structured analysis and translate insights into actionable plans.Define and track key performance indicators, program health metrics, and benefits realization across the strategic portfolio.Proactively surface risks, interdependencies, and resource constraints, and drive mitigation and escalation with the appropriate stakeholders.Improve planning and execution mechanisms by standardizing processes, templates, governance, and decision-making frameworks.Lead strategic problem-solving on ambiguous business questions, evaluate options, and develop recommendations for senior leadership.Ensure accountability and follow-through across workstreams while enabling teams to move quickly and make informed decisions.Support organizational goal setting, resource prioritization, and change management for new initiatives and operating model improvements.Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes without direct authority across a complex, matrixed environment.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree.8+ years of experience in business strategy, program management, management consulting, business operations, e-commerce, or a related field.Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional programs and converting strategic priorities into measurable business outcomes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop structured, actionable recommendations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive-level narratives and presentations.Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive accountability in a matrixed organization.Experience establishing PMO governance, business review cadences, KPI frameworks, and portfolio-level reporting.Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.Why Walmart?At Walmart, we believe in providing opportunities for our associates to grow and succeed.
