About the Guild

Founded in 2022, Ethereal Exploration Guild (The Guild) is building the World’s First Fully Reusable Medium-Lift Launch Vehicle/Rocket, Razor Crest Mk-1(RCM1).

Based in India, the team has a combined flight heritage of over 75 launches from the PSLV and GSLV fleets, and more than 300 years of collective experience in the space industry. The Guild is also developing a 700,000 sq ft facility dedicated to Upper Stage Engine Testing, which is going to be India’s largest privately developed Engine Testing Facility.

The Guild has also built and manufactured India’s First Reusable Rocket Engine.

Role Summary: We are looking for an RF Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, integrate, and test RF and communication systems for reusable launch vehicles. The role will cover antennas, telemetry, tracking, command, GNSS, RF front-end hardware, communication links, and RF system characterization.The engineer will work closely with avionics, GNC, software, structures, propulsion, and test teams to develop reliable, flight-ready RF systems and support their integration, testing, qualification, and troubleshooting throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities:RF System Design & Development: Design and develop RF systems for telemetry, tracking, command, GNSS and vehicle communications, including link budgets, frequency planning and RF architecture.Antenna & RF Hardware: Design, select, integrate and characterize antennas, transceivers, filters, amplifiers and RF front-end hardware. Perform impedance matching and S-parameter analysis.RF Testing & Validation: Conduct RF characterization and validation using VNAs, spectrum analysers, signal generators and power meters. Verify link performance, EMC/EMI and communication reliability.Vehicle Integration: Integrate RF systems with avionics and vehicle systems, including antenna placement, RF harnessing, grounding and shielding, while supporting ground, hot-fire and flight testing.Troubleshooting & Reliability: Investigate RF failures, interference, signal degradation and communication anomalies, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for reliable reusable flight operations.

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in RF/Microwave, Electronics, Electrical, ECE, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.Over 2 years of hands-on experience in RF engineering, communication systems, or antenna development.Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, impedance matching, S-parameters, transmission lines and RF system architecture.Experience with RF test equipment including VNA, spectrum analyser, signal generator and power meter.Experience with antenna design, selection, integration and characterization.Working knowledge of RF communication systems, telemetry, tracking, GNSS and link-budget analysis.Experience with RF simulation/design tools such as HFSS, CST, ADS, AWR or equivalent is preferred.Strong troubleshooting, analytical and hands-on testing skills.Ability to work with avionics, GNC, software, structures, propulsion and test teams.

Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in RF/Microwave, Electronics, Electrical, Avionics, or Aerospace Engineering.Experience in aerospace, launch vehicles, spacecraft, defence, or high-reliability RF systems.Experience with HFSS, CST, ADS, AWR or equivalent RF/antenna simulation tools.Experience with telemetry, tracking, command, GNSS, S-band, C-band, X-band or other aerospace communication systems.Experience in antenna design, phased arrays, RF propagation and vehicle-level antenna integration.Knowledge of EMC/EMI, RF interference, shielding, grounding and RF coexistence.Experience with environmental qualification including vibration, thermal and RF performance testing.Familiarity with DO-160, MIL-STD-461 or equivalent aerospace/defence standards.Experience with RF PCB design, RF front-end development and high-frequency interconnects.Experience supporting flight campaigns, launch operations or high-energy test environments.
