How are you creating an impact?

We are looking for a dynamic and commercially oriented Associate Manager Product Growth, to drive the strategy, development, positioning, launch, and lifecycle management of products and learning solutions for the Higher Education market.

The role will be responsible for translating market, faculty, student, and institutional needs into compelling product propositions, while partnering closely with Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Technology, Customer Success, and Global Product teams.

The ideal candidate should be able to combine product thinking, market understanding, commercial acumen, digital fluency, and strong execution capability to build products that drive adoption, revenue, engagement, and long-term customer value.

What will you be doing?

Product Lifecycle & Adoption

Create structured plans for product launch, adoption, renewal, and lifecycle management.Monitor adoption at institutions, faculty, course, and student levels.Develop intervention plans for products with low adoption or declining usage.Recommend product revision, repositioning, bundling, migration, or discontinuation based on performance.

Revenue & Commercial Management

Own and contribute to product-level revenue and margin targets.Develop annual product business plans and revenue forecasts.Partner with Sales and Finance on pricing, discounting, commercial models, and profitability.Monitor product performance against budget and forecast.Identify corrective actions for underperforming products

Internal Positioning & Messaging

Defining and communicating the product’s unique value proposition, positioning, and key differentiators, translating product capabilities into clear, compelling messages that resonate with target audiences.Develop product positioning frameworks that clearly articulate the customer problem, product solution, key benefits, differentiators, and business value.Translate complex product features, content, and technology into simple, customer-centric benefits and outcomes.Develop competitor positioning and differentiation statements to help Sales teams communicate the product’s strengths effectively.Partner with Marketing to ensure consistency of product messaging across campaigns, websites, email, social media, webinars, events, and sales collateral.Equip Sales and KAM teams with product messaging toolkits, battlecards, pitch decks, talking points, and competitive response guides.Ensure that internal stakeholders have a clear understanding of “What the product is, Who it is for, Why it matters, and Why customers should choose it.”

List Management & Product Data Governance

Own and maintain the master list of active products, ensuring completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timely updates.Maintain accurate product information including product name, ISBN/SKU, edition, discipline, segment, pricing, status, format, digital availability, and other relevant attributes.Establish strong data hygiene and governance processes for product and campaign-related databases.Ensure product lists are campaign-ready and sales-ready for Marketing, Sales Enablement, e-commerce, reporting, and business operations.Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure new products, revisions, discontinued products, pricing changes, and product status updates are reflected accurately and on time.Maintain appropriate product lists for marketing campaigns, sales collateral, CRM, e-commerce, reporting, compliance, and management reviews.

Sales Enablement & Planning

Enable Sales and KAM teams to effectively communicate product value, articulate differentiation, handle objections, and drive customer adoption.Develop and maintain sales enablement tools, including product decks, battlecards, pitch documents, FAQs, competitive guides, product comparison sheets, and objection-handling guides.Conduct regular product training and sales enablement sessions to ensure teams understand product features, positioning, target customers, use cases, and value propositions.Partner with Sales leadership to identify sales process gaps, productivity opportunities, and adoption barriers.Support the effective use and optimization of CRM and sales technology platforms to improve sales visibility, productivity, and execution.Develop and maintain sales reporting, dashboards, forecasting, and performance tracking to support data-driven decision-making.Support territory planning, account prioritization, opportunity management, and pipeline planning in collaboration with Sales and KAM teams.Ensure CRM data integrity, completeness, consistency, and governance across relevant product and customer records.Analyze sales and customer data to identify product trends, whitespace opportunities, adoption gaps, and revenue opportunities.

Product Management Expertise

Strong understanding of product lifecycle management - ideation, development, launch, adoption, optimization, and retirement.Ability to develop product strategy, roadmap, positioning, and value proposition.Strong understanding of market research, customer insights, competitor analysis, and portfolio management.Ability to translate customer and market needs into product requirements and actionable product initiatives.Strong commercial understanding of revenue, pricing, margins, adoption, and profitability.

Sales Enablement

Ability to translate product features into sales propositions and customer benefits.Experience developing sales decks, product brochures, battlecards, FAQs, competitor comparisons, objection-handling guides, and product demos.Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, account prioritization, and opportunity management.Ability to conduct product training and enablement sessions for Sales and KAM teams.Strong collaboration skills to bridge Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.

CRM, Marketing Automation & Technology

Strong working knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce/SFDC.Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, HubSpot, or equivalent.Understanding of CRM data management, lead management, campaign workflows, and reporting.Ability to leverage technology to streamline processes and improve sales and marketing efficiency.Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and digital customer journeys is desirable.

Data & Analytics Expertise

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to interpret sales, marketing, customer, product, and campaign data and convert insights into actions.Experience with dashboards, reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking.Knowledge of GA4 or similar digital analytics platforms.Strong understanding of marketing and product KPIs including conversion, engagement, adoption, retention, renewal, pipeline, and revenue.Advanced MS Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI or other visualization tools is an advantage.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Ability to communicate complex product concepts in a simple, compelling, customer-focused manner.Strong stakeholder management skills across Sales, Marketing, Editorial, Technology, Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.Strong facilitation and presentation skills for internal and external audiences.

Education / Domain Knowledge

Preferred Educational Background: MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Product Management, Business Strategy, or related discipline.Bachelor's degree in any relevant discipline.
