About the RoleWe are looking for a creative and passionate Textile Designer who can combine strong design skills with a passion for teaching and mentoring. In this role, you will work on developing textile concepts, prints, patterns, and surface designs while also guiding learners through practical, industry-relevant projects.You will create engaging learning experiences, mentor aspiring designers, stay updated with textile and fashion trends, and contribute to the growth of Skillinabox’s Textile Design vertical while helping learners build industry-ready skills and portfolios.

Key Responsibilities Develop innovative textile prints, patterns, motifs, and surface designs for fashion and lifestyle applications.Create mood boards, colour palettes, print concepts, and repeat patterns based on briefs and trends.Research textile trends, materials, techniques, and surface embellishment to develop relevant design concepts.Conduct engaging online and offline training sessions on textile design, print development, and surface design.Teach and mentor learners through practical demonstrations, assignments, projects, and portfolio development.Guide learners in developing textile concepts and design collections, while providing constructive feedback on their work.Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and practical exercises, and assess learner progress.Collaborate with the design/product team to translate concepts into commercially viable designs and support sampling and revisions.

Qualifications0–2 years of experience in Textile Design, Print Design, Surface Design, Product Development, or teaching.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.Freshers with an exceptional portfolio and strong communication skills are welcome.A textile/print design portfolio is mandatory, showcasing prints, patterns, surface designs, and/or textile explorations.Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; knowledge of CorelDRAW or other textile design software is a plus.Strong interest in teaching, mentoring, and guiding aspiring textile designers.
