Job Description Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with strong software and AI expertise to support the transformation of HVDC system design and studies through advanced digital technologies.

This role combines power systems engineering with AI/ML and automation to enhance engineering productivity, enable large-scale simulation workflows, and improve system design decision-making.

The candidate will act as a technical bridge between traditional HVDC studies and modern AI/ML-driven approaches, ensuring that digital solutions are grounded in core engineering principles.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Perform HVDC system studies including:Insulation coordination, network interaction, reliability, and losses analysisSupport system design activities including main scheme design and equipment specification.EMT and RMS simulations using tools such as PSCAD, PSS/E, DigSilent, MATLAB, RTDSDevelop and maintain Python-based automated workflows for:Large-scale, multi-scenario batch simulations (especially in PSCAD)Study execution, result processing, and reportingIdentify opportunities to optimize system study tools and methodologies using:AI/ML-based techniquesData-driven approaches to improve efficiency and accuracyDevelop and implement:AI solutions like LLM and RAG-based and AI agents.Bridge the gap between engineering simulation tools and AI/ML frameworks through robust software integration.Serve as a technical interface between HVDC engineering and data science/software teams, ensuring AI-driven insights align with fundamental power system principles.
