Full job description

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java 11/17 and Spring Boot, following clean architecture and SOLID principles.

Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for new features and system improvements.

Build and integrate RESTful and event-driven APIs using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging platforms.

Write high-quality, well-tested code (unit, integration, contract) achieving > 80% code coverage using JUnit 5 and Mockito.

Work with DevOps teams to deploy and monitor services on Kubernetes (GKE / OpenShift) using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).

Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives within an Agile/Scrum framework.

Optimise application performance profiling, tuning the JVM, and database query optimisation (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).

Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing sessions.

Collaborate with global counterparts in Germany and other DT entities on cross-border product delivery.

Ensure security compliance and contribute to vulnerability remediation as part of secure SDLC practices.
