About The Role

At Innovaccer, we're looking for exceptional Software Development Engineer-II (Full-Stack) who are passionate about solving complex problems, building at scale, and using AI to fundamentally change how software is engineered.

You'll work across the stack to build scalable, reliable, and intuitive products that solve meaningful customer problems in healthcare. You'll be expected to leverage AI coding tools and modern AI-assisted development practices as a core part of your engineering workflow—from understanding and decomposing problems to coding, testing, debugging, and improving solutions.

A Day in the Life

Design, build, test, and ship scalable, efficient, and reusable frontend and backend applicationsOwn features end-to-end—from understanding the problem and design through development, testing, deployment, and productionApply AI-assisted software development throughout the engineering lifecycle, using AI coding tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, generate tests, debug issues, and explore solutionsEmbrace the AI Development Life Cycle (AIDLC) and continuously evolve how software is designed, developed, tested, deployed, and operated in an AI-native engineering environmentThink beyond individual components and understand how your work impacts the broader system, platform, and customer experienceIdentify and drive improvements in performance, scalability, reliability, security, and engineering qualityCollaborate with Product, Design, AI, and Engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into simple, scalable solutionsProactively identify technical challenges, challenge assumptions, and drive solutions without waiting for directionContribute to engineering excellence through design reviews, code reviews, testing, documentation, and mentoring

Requirements

What You Need

Must-have

3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong ownership mindset and willingness to take on challenging problemsStrong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSSStrong experience with ReactJS or another modern frontend frameworkSolid backend experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or similar technologies and experience building production-grade servicesGood understanding of REST APIs, RDBMS, NoSQL databases, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecturesExperience building and integrating end-to-end full-stack applicationsHands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent is required. You should be comfortable using AI as a coding partner—not simply as a chatbotUnderstanding of AIDLC / AI-native software development practices, including AI-assisted coding, test generation, debugging, code review, documentation, and iterative developmentStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex problems and develop creative, pragmatic solutionsStrong system-thinking mindset—you understand not just how something works, but why it works and how it impacts the larger systemStrong bias for action, ownership, curiosity, and continuous learningA belief in progress over perfection, with the judgment to know when to move fast and when to go deep

Hands-on experience building Agentic AI applications or workflowsExperience with LLMs, RAG, tool calling, MCP, AI agents, agent orchestration, or multi-agent systemsExperience integrating AI capabilities into production applicationsFamiliarity with evaluating, monitoring, and improving AI-powered systemsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

Most importantly, we're looking for engineers who are energized by hard problems, passionate about technology, comfortable with ambiguity, and excited about the opportunity to redefine how software is built in the AI era.

Innovaccer builds software that helps hospitals, clinics, and health insurance companies make sense of all the scattered data they deal with every day — patient records, appointments, insurance claims, lab results — and turns it into something useful and actionable.
