Full job description

Requirements:

5+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong Java and Python proficiency.

Production experience with AWS services, not just deployed a Lambda once, but real operational ownership.

Demonstrated experience building AI/ML-powered products: LLM integrations, document understanding, NLP pipelines, or equivalent.

Daily, habitual use of AI tools in your engineering workflow; we want to see that you've genuinely integrated AI into how you write, debug, review, and ship code

Strong API design sensibility (REST, event-driven) and database design skills (SQL, schema modelling).

Ownership mindset: you don't wait for tickets to be perfectly spec'd; you clarify, decide, build, and ship.

Clear written and verbal communication: you can explain a technical tradeoff to a PM or a product constraint to an engineer.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience in insurance, fintech, or regulated B2B SaaS domains.

Hands-on exposure to workflow orchestration frameworks (Temporal, Airflow, Step Functions).

Familiarity with LLM observability and evaluation tooling (Langfuse, LangSmith, Braintrust).

Experience with document processing at scale: OCR, PDF extraction, ACORD forms.

Contributions to open-source projects or technical writing that demonstrate depth of thinking.

Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices.
