Role Summary
The Senior Manager, Scientific Learning, Medical Academy will lead innovative, complex, cross-functional learning projects on behalf of the Academy team that result in the stated deliverables on time, within budget, and with the full engagement of therapeutic area partners. Working closely with the Medical Academy Scientific Learning Lead and team members, the Senior Manager will develop and implement best-in-class e-learnings or blended learning programs to help Medical Affairs colleagues develop their skills and to globally be experts with a deep knowledge of our medicines and therapeutic areas.
Role Responsibilities
Works with Medical Academy Scientific Directors, Content Leads, and Medical Leads to create curricula and curate/develop learning resources, with clear instructional goals and learning objectives, across assigned therapeutic areas and assetsWorks closely with agencies to develop and implement interactive and engaging learning resourcesWorks with the Learning Systems team to upload resources and improve user experienceResearches, evaluates, and integrates new and emerging eLearning trends and technologyRevamps and updates existing e-learning resources
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years OR master’s degree with 5+ years OR equivalent terminal doctoral degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) and 2+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience requiredAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and manage competing prioritiesCross functional working experience and collaborationAgency management experienceExcellent written and oral communications skillsStrong strategic, analytical and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently in a matrix environment with shown flexibility and organizational awareness
Preferred Qualifications
PhD., PharmD. or equivalent doctoral degree (e.g. Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Physical Therapy) highly preferredTraining experience including instructional design, curriculum development and use of digital technology in learningExperience in Medical Affairs is preferredMedical Affairs experience within any of the following therapeutic areas: vaccines, internal medicine, inflammation & immunology, oncology or rare diseaseMedical Education/Communication agency experience would be a plusFamiliar with a wide variety of e-learning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline) to design and develop interactive and engaging e-learning
