Role And Impact

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Topsoe’s digital transformation and supporting our strategic vision to become a global leader in carbon emission reduction technologies. You will join a dynamic digitalization team comprised of Data Engineers, Internet of Things (IoT) experts, Data Scientists, Front End Developers, and Business Developers, all working together to develop innovative digital solutions and optimize business processes. Your work will directly influence both strategic and operational analytics initiatives, collaborating closely with subject matter experts to build a scalable platform that underpins Topsoe’s analytical capabilities and digital product development.

You will be involved throughout the entire product development lifecycle, working hand-in-hand with Data Scientists and Business Development Leads to deliver impactful digital services and products.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

Designing and developing robust data pipelines for batch and streaming data using Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings. Acting as a subject matter expert in data engineering, driving the delivery of digital services and products. Ensuring the availability of infrastructure, tools, and procedures to support the digitalization roadmap and empower end-users. Facilitating data-driven decision-making across the organization by combining technical expertise with business acumen.

What You Will Bring

You bring a strong foundation as a modern cloud data engineer or architect, with a passion for analytics and innovation. Your expertise includes hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure stack—such as Databricks, Data Lake, Event Hub, and SQL Server—and proficiency in Python or PySpark development. You are solution-oriented, efficient, and structured, with a curiosity that drives you to challenge the status quo and share knowledge. You thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment, taking ownership of complex projects and collaborating with multiple stakeholders. Key qualifications include:

Academic background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (M.Sc., M.Tech, or B.Tech). Strong programming skills in Python or PySpark. Familiarity with setting up and managing DevOps pipelines. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as ARM, Bicep, or Terraform is a plus. Knowledge of data management, business intelligence architecture, and dashboard creation is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

You will join a highly skilled and collaborative digitalization team, currently consisting of three Data Engineers in Denmark and three in India, alongside IoT experts, Data Scientists, Front End Developers, and Business Developers.
