Role Purpose
The Retail Merchandiser supports commercial execution and inventory health across AMPM’s retail stores and online platform. Working closely with the merchandising and retail teams, this role ensures products are allocated, tracked, and replenished efficiently so design vision translates into smooth in-store and online availability.It is a hands-on, execution-focused role, ideal for someone early in their merchandising career who wants to build a strong foundation in retail math, inventory management, and cross-functional coordination within a premium fashion brand.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Inventory Support & Stock ManagementMonitor stock levels: Track stock levels across 4 retail stores and online, flagging shortages or excess.Support sell-through tracking: Track weekly and monthly sell-through and highlight fast- and slow-moving SKUs to leadership.Assist with slow-moving stock: Support markdown and liquidation execution for slow-moving inventory, as directed by leadership.Handle allocation & replenishment: Execute day-to-day store-wise product allocation and replenishment based on guidance from senior merchandisers.Coordinate with the warehouse: Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure smooth stock flow, accurate counts, and timely dispatch.
B. Reporting & Data SupportGenerate weekly reports: Prepare weekly performance reports identifying fast/slow-moving SKUs and visual merchandising gaps.Maintain performance dashboards: Keep dashboards updated so business targets and stock positions remain visible to the team.Support forecasting inputs: Compile sell-through and stock data to support leadership in forecasting and planning decisions.
C. Cross-Functional CoordinationDesign: Coordinate with the design team to relay stock and sell-through feedback from the field.Production: Track the TNA calendar and delivery timelines, flagging any risk of stock delays.Retail Operations & Marketing: Work with store teams and marketing to execute merchandising plans and support product launches.
D. Systems & Data DisciplineMaintain reporting templates: Maintain and follow standardized reporting templates used by the merchandising team.Follow SOPs: Follow established SOPs for allocation, replenishment, and reporting, and suggest improvements where useful.Data accuracy: Ensure all daily merchandising actions are backed by accurate, up-to-date data.
What We’re Looking ForExperience: 1–3 years of experience in Merchandising, Planning, or Retail Operations.Industry background: Exposure to premium or luxury fashion brands is a plus, though not mandatory.Retail math: Working knowledge of retail math, sell-through analysis, and allocation basics.Multi-store exposure: Comfort working across multiple stores and online channels.Excel skills: Good Excel skills and a data-driven, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.Attitude: Eager to learn, organized, and comfortable in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.
