About The Role

The Procurement Manager manages a team to implement BT Group sourcing strategies through the management of resources across a best-in-class sourcing organisation driving sourcing event execution, enhancing spend and sourcing analytics, contract management and administration, pipeline management, sourcing technology platform administration, sourcing business process, and reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing

Manges the structured analyses of supplier industry, economics, and market conditions for spend under management, ensuring awareness surrounding key market indicators, commodity trends, and market intelligence. Ensures the standardisation of purchasing best practices, processes, and procedures, while staying abreast of industry trends and best-in-class behaviors. Coordinates the implementation of BT Group strategies and process improvements for the Procurement function. Implements supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives of the BT Group and division into shared services practices and sourcing strategies. Manages the rigorous analysis of BT Group supply chain performance metrics, trends and standards. Supports the supplier selection process through the formal RFP (request for proposal), RFQ (request for quote) and RFI (request for information) processes. Reviews and assesses supplier contract performance, acting as an escalation point in the event of non-performance. Champions, continuously develops and shares with team knowledge on emerging trends and changes in the field of commercial procurement. Implements ways to improve working processes within the area of commercial procurement, sourcing strategies and communication with suppliers.
