Role Overview :
As a Backend SDE 2, you will be responsible for architecting and scaling the core infrastructure that powers our learning ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend engineers, and data scientists, to build high-performance services that handle millions of concurrent users. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and speed of our platform, ensuring that students have uninterrupted access to educational content during peak traffic periods.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS to support high-traffic educational features.
- Optimize database performance and query efficiency within MongoDB to ensure low-latency data retrieval for the end-user.
- Integrate Kafka for asynchronous processing and event-driven architecture to improve system responsiveness.
- Implement caching strategies using Redis to reduce server load and enhance the speed of the application.
- Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless API integration with Next.js and Express.js frameworks.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and participate in system design discussions to maintain high engineering standards across the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to maintain high availability and platform stability.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining production-grade applications using Node.js, Express.js, and NestJS.
- Strong proficiency in designing distributed systems and microservices architecture with a focus on scalability and fault tolerance.
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB for schema design and performance tuning in high-volume environments.
- Proven ability to utilize Kafka for message queuing and Redis for high-speed data caching.
- Familiarity with the Next.js ecosystem to effectively bridge backend services with frontend requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into clean, maintainable code.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders in an on-site work environment in Noida.
- A minimum of 3 to 6 years of professional software development experience in a high-growth product company.
