Role SummaryWe are looking for experienced Mechanical Design Engineers and Design Leaders to join our growing R&D teams at Havells CRI, Noida.This role offers an opportunity to lead the design and development of innovative products across multiple categories including:Electric Wiring Accessories (EWA)Domestic SwitchgearIndustrial SwitchgearSmall Domestic AppliancesLarge AppliancesFans & Air Movement ProductsConsumer Durable ProductsCandidate will play a key role in product innovation, concept engineering, design validation, value engineering, and new product development while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Design & DevelopmentLead end-to-end mechanical design and development of new products and product platforms.Create innovative product concepts, detailed engineering designs, 3D CAD models, and manufacturing drawings.Develop products meeting performance, quality, reliability, safety, cost and regulatory requirements.Conduct design reviews and design validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.New Product Introduction (NPI)Drive Stage-Gate based New Product Development processes.Work closely with Industrial Design, Product Management and Manufacturing teams for successful product commercialization.Develop prototypes and ensure timely validation through testing and design iterations.Support pilot production and production stabilization activities.Engineering ExcellencePerform Design FMEA, Risk Assessments and Design Verification activities.Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T application and root cause analysis.Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.

Technical CompetenciesStrong expertise in Product Design and Engineering FundamentalsProficiency in Creo / Pro-E, Windchill, AutoCAD and other CAD toolsKnowledge of DFMEA, GD&T, Design Validation and Engineering Change ManagementUnderstanding of manufacturing processes such as Injection Molding, Sheet Metal, Die Casting and Assembly ProcessesExperience in New Product Development (NPD) and Stage Gate ProcessesValue Engineering and Cost Optimization knowledge

Desired Candidate ProfileExperience6 to 15 years of experience in Mechanical Product Design and Development.Experience in consumer products, appliances, switchgear, electrical products, automotive components, industrial products or related manufacturing industries.Exposure to complete product lifecycle development.Prior team handling experience preferred for Manager, Sr. Manager and AGM positions.EducationB.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering preferredCandidates from Tier-1 and Tier-2 engineering institutes will be preferred
