Job Purpose

The role provides technical leadership in ensuring the highest standards of architectural finishes across airport infrastructure, focusing on quality, durability, and alignment with design intent. It is responsible for defining and enforcing quality benchmarks for all interior and exterior finishes, ensuring that terminal environments are safe, aesthetically consistent, compliant, and reflective of world-class aviation standards.The role establishes and implements robust QA/QC frameworks covering materials, detailing, mock-ups, and on-site execution of finishes such as flooring, cladding, ceilings, façades, and joinery. Through regular inspections, audits, and technical reviews, it ensures adherence to design specifications, codes, and lifecycle performance requirements incl. BOQ checks, while identifying gaps and driving corrective actions to maintain consistency across projects and contractors.The role collaborates closely with consultants, contractors, and operations teams to resolve design and execution challenges and ensure seamless integration of finishes with building systems. It also drives the development of finish standards, guidelines, and best practices, enabling standardization, maintainability, and alignment with the airport’s brand, passenger experience goals, and long-term operational efficiency.

Establish and enforce quality standards for architectural finishes across all airport projects, ensuring adherence to approved design intent, specifications, and global aviation benchmarks.

% Compliance to approved finish specifications

Site visits, review and approve material selections, mock-ups, and prototypes for finishes including flooring, cladding, ceilings, façades, and joinery.

Number of mock-ups reviewed and approved

Conduct periodic site inspections and quality audits to monitor execution of finishes and ensure workmanship meets defined standards

Number of site inspections/audits conducted

Identify design and execution gaps in finishes and drive corrective and preventive actions in coordination with consultants and contractors.

Number of issues identified and resolved and Closure time for quality deviations

Ensure consistency and standardization of finishes across multiple projects, packages, and phases

Bachelor's/Master degree in Architecture / Design, Project Management, Construction management B.Tech - CivilB.E - Civil

Relevant Experience

15+ years’ experience in architecture with a strong focus on finishes, quality control, and on-site execution (including project management roles).Demonstrated track record in ensuring high-quality finishes execution across large-scale infrastructure projects, with expertise in material selection, detailing, mock-ups, and workmanship standards.Proficiency in CAD, BIM, and visualization tools, along with strong review and documentation skills using Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred); familiarity with digital QA/QC tools, BOQ / scheduling and emerging technologies/AI in quality monitoring is an added advantage.Ability to independently review drawings, specifications, and site conditions, and guide/supervise teams in achieving required quality benchmarks across finishes and interior works.Strong knowledge of ICAO, DGCA CAR, BCAS, and IATA standards, as well as local and national building codes and environmental regulations
