The role is primarily responsible for end-to-end management of License Fee (LF) compliance, including fee calculation, assessment management, regulatory submissions, accounting, reconciliations, payments, and engagement with the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and other regulatory authorities. The incumbent will ensure compliance with licensing conditions, defend company positions during audits and assessments, and provide strategic guidance on regulatory fee matters.

CA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent Finance/Accounting qualification from a recognized institution. 15-20 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance, Telecom Licensing, Regulatory Fee Management, Finance, Accounting, or related functions. Strong experience in License Fee calculations, regulatory levies, assessments, audits, reconciliations, and regulatory payments. Proven experience in dealing with DoT, government authorities, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory financial reporting requirements. Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, documentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Prior people management experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the complete lifecycle of License Fee compliance, including calculation, reporting, assessment, reconciliation, and payments Ensure accurate and timely submission of regulatory filings, returns, fee-related reports, and statutory obligation

Review financial records and accounting data to support accurate LF calculations and regulatory reporting

Lead DoT assessments, audits, inspections, reconciliations, and regulatory reviews

Represent and defend the company's calculations, positions, and interpretations before regulators, government authorities, and auditors.

Manage responses to regulatory notices, audit observations, and compliance-related queries.

Ensure proper accounting, provisioning, reconciliation, and audit support for regulatory fees and levies

Maintain comprehensive regulatory documentation, records, audit trails, and supporting calculations

Provide management with advice on regulatory risks, compliance requirements, and cost implications.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, compliance enhancement, and regulatory cost optimization.
