Red hat is hiring for the role of Consultant

Responsibilities of the Candidate :

Conduct architectural discovery sessions and "Design-and-Build" workshops to align technical solutions with business outcomes.

Lead the end-to-end implementation of OpenShift Virtualization, including platform installation, networking (OVN-K), and storage (OpenShift Data Foundation/Ceph).

Plan and execute large-scale VM migrations (from VMware or Hyper-V) using the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV), ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.

Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines using Ansible and GitOps principles to ensure repeatable, production-ready environments.

Act as a technical liaison between the customer and Red Hat Product Engineering, identifying product gaps and advocating for feature enhancements.

Requirements :

Expert-level understanding of KVM and QEMU. Significant experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi/vCenter) is required to facilitate migrations.

Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes, specifically focused on KubeVirt or running stateful workloads.

Advanced proficiency with Ansible and Terraform for full-stack automation.

Deep understanding of software-defined networking (SDN), load balancing, and persistent storage protocols (CSI, iSCSI, Fiber Channel).

Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations, handle project scope creep, and present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Expert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including performance tuning and security hardening.
