The individual will oversee overall branch operations, including business development, customer service, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Daily responsibilities include leading and mentoring branch staff, driving deposit and asset growth, monitoring sales performance, and ensuring that branch processes adhere to bank policies and RBI guidelines. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with retail and corporate clients, resolving escalated customer issues, and coordinating with central teams on product implementation and service improvements. The Branch Head will also be accountable for achieving branch profitability targets, managing budgets, and contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance the bank’s presence in the local market.Qualifications Proven branch banking and leadership experience, with strong skills in branch operations, team management, and performance oversight.Expertise in retail and corporate banking products and services, including deposits, loans, trade finance, and wealth or investment solutions.Solid understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, and internal controls within the Indian banking environment.Strong business development and relationship management capabilities, with a track record of achieving sales and profitability targets.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and motivate diverse teams.Analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in using banking systems, dashboards, and MS Office tools.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or professional certifications in banking or finance are an advantage.Prior experience as a Branch Manager/Branch Head or similar role in a scheduled commercial bank or financial institution is highly desirable.
