The role

An agentic outcome engineer at a software product company designs and optimizes autonomous AI agents using Generative AI Engineer, prompt engineering, and AI tool use for customer experiences and measurable product impact. The role also applies software engineering and observability to agent lifecycle measurement and continuous improvement.

Full job description

We are seeking an agentic outcome engineer to design, build, and optimise AI-powered agents that enhance how customers experience our products. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of autonomous agent systems from development to measurement and continuous improvement, driving exceptional customer experiences and measurable business impact.

Requirements:

Bachelor's in computer science, engineering or equivalent or other advanced education.

Overall work experience of 5-7 years in software product development.

Strong software engineering skills (e. g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar) and RESTful API services (XML/JSON), data pipelines, and observability.

Good understanding and knowledge of public clouds, viz., AWS, Azure and GCP.

Familiarity and hands-on experience with front-end development like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React/Angular.

Experience working with web development solutions such as Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) and Single-Page Applications (SPAs).

Good understanding of DOM, WCM core components and templates.

A good understanding of observability and knowledge of monitoring and reporting (New Relic, Nagios, Icinga, and Splunk) are required; experience with long-term operations in this tech stack is a plus.

Knowledge of Real User Monitoring (RUM) tools and analysis.

Having hands-on experience is a big plus.

Familiarity with Linux / Windows, web servers, middleware applications and their operations.

A huge plus if the candidate has hands-on experience building AI/ML systems or agentic frameworks (e. g., LLM-based apps, AI agents, RAG, safety measurements or automation, etc. ), but knowledge and understanding are very much necessary.

Strong understanding and familiarity with prompt engineering and AI tool use are a must.

Results-focused approach: experience defining metrics, A/B or similar experiments, and using data to prioritise and improve products.

Customer focus - experience working with user research, support data, or product analytics to improve user or customer experience.

Motivation and flexibility - working well in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
