Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and verification of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold appraisal techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate valuation and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing precise assessments that uphold the institution's standards for security and customer trust.

Responsibilities:-

Conduct thorough physical inspection and verification of gold items submitted as collateral for loan processing, ensuring authenticity and purity.Evaluate the market value of gold based on current rates, weight, and quality to determine loan eligibility and amount.Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, descriptions, and valuation reports, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold-backed loans, providing expert advice on valuation matters.Stay updated with fluctuations in gold market prices and industry trends to provide accurate and timely appraisals.Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines related to gold appraisal and loan disbursement.Identify and report any discrepancies or suspicious activities related to gold collateral to the appropriate authorities within the bank.Participate in periodic audits and quality checks to maintain appraisal accuracy and operational integrity.Train and mentor junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and operational procedures to enhance team capability.
