YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer , you will play a critical role in owning, supporting, and evolving Aptiv’s embedded edge software platforms for automotive data logging and connectivity. You will work extensively with complex legacy systems, lead technical problem-solving efforts, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring high reliability of production software.

YOUR ROLE

Own and drive support, enhancement, and maintenance of embedded edge software across Linux and RTOS-based systems Lead investigation and resolution of complex production issues involving legacy and mission-critical code Design and implement robust C++ solutions for automotive data acquisition and communication systems Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices Collaborate with global, cross-functional stakeholders to ensure system stability, quality, and performance

YOUR BACKGROUND

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline 8–14 years of experience in embedded software development with advanced C++ expertise Strong hands-on experience with embedded Linux systems and shell scripting In-depth knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet Experience working in automotive or embedded product organizations, with exposure to production systems
