The role
A senior Discipline Engineer role at Valeo (automotive/vehicle components) where you lead complex engineering projects, optimize budgets through resource allocation, and serve as a referent for technical problem solving using QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control). You provide technical coaching and mentoring, develop and validate design standards for Newness levels 2-3, execute the Discipline’s Digitalization Roadmap, and propose innovative solutions including support for patent filing (intellectual property). Budget
Budget Commitment: Demonstrate commitment to achieving project budgets by optimizing resource allocation and adhering to cost-effective engineering practices.
Support Operations
Lead Complex Projects: Lead the technical execution of engineering projects, particularly those involving Newness levels 2-3 (new designs based on existing knowledge or design based on existing rules).Technical Problem Solving: Serve as a referent for critical problem solving within the Discipline, utilizing Valeo standard methodologies like QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Customer Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical solutions and challenges to internal and external customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.Technical Transversal Sharing: Proactively share technical knowledge and best practices across teams and divisions, fostering collaboration and knowledge dissemination.
