To support the strategic expansion of Siemens Energy Wind Power in India, this leadership role is established to drive localization and supply chain development activities, re-establishing India as a critical sourcing market under the urgent "100by30" program. To address these business aims, the role focuses on regional procurement leadership, strategic supplier development, and cross-category regulatory compliance. These core areas directly enable the creation of a resilient local supply chain and ensure seamless execution of global commodity strategies within the region. Given the focus on regional leadership and supply chain localization, the ideal candidate will possess extensive senior procurement management experience within the wind power or energy sector, coupled with deep expertise in the Indian supplier landscape and regional regulatory frameworks.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Act as the primary focal point and representative for WP Procurement (P&SM) in Region India, collaborating closely with regional management and operations. Build and lead a cross-functional, and cross-category team of regional WP OP P&SM staff, driving performance development and alignment with global commodity strategies. Coordinate bundled volumes and resolve conflicting category priorities toward suppliers serving multiple categories in the region. Develop regional Sourcing Strategy and drive localization and early-stage local supply chain development activities to re-establish India as a key sourcing market for Wind Power. Lead negotiations with local suppliers, establishing regional supplier relationships and representing the company in the regional supply market. Execute ongoing problem-solving initiatives regarding quality, delivery, and shortages to secure supply chain resilience for the '100by30' program. Conduct comprehensive market screening, monitoring local/regional market developments, trends, and identifying challenger suppliers to diversify the supply chain. Serve as the regional center of competence for local content requirements, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Support sustainability and compliance checks during supplier qualification in alignment with global standards.

What You Bring

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the Wind Power or Energy sector in India. Proven track record of driving localization programs, supplier development, and managing complex regional stakeholder networks. Experience in regional sourcing strategy development, cross-functional team leadership, supplier relationship management (SRM), and contract negotiation and commercial law. Expertise in localization and supply chain diversification, supplier development and quality assurance, risk management and mitigation, as well as sourcing strategy. Experience in market screening and intelligence, regulatory and local content compliance, as well as sustainability and compliance auditing.
