A project manager in electrical equipment engineering works on high-voltage GIS and substation projects, leading project execution from contract review and planning through procurement, production, shipment, site installation, commissioning, handover, and commercial closure. They coordinate engineering, supply chain, factories, suppliers, customers, and site stakeholders while managing project schedules, risks, costs, quality standards, and vendor deliverables. Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager. Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
Project Leadership
Leads Project team, establishes the project execution approach and overseas project handover, execution planning and monitoring and control of both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
Project Execution And Control
Organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements.Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing. Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards (e.g., International Standards Organization).Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.Managing multiple, interrelated projects (including business transformation projects). On some projects, the work may include integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables.Review of Contract receipt from SalesDevelop project schedule and freeze with respective stakeholders (internal and external)Preparation of project specific risk and opportunities management planPreparation of project wise Master document listCoordination with Engg and SCM to place order on sub supplier for material procurement.Coordinate with feeder factories for production plan and follow up on production progressCoordination on Stage inspections (if any)Follow-up on Material shipment, material receipt at site and acknowledgment from sites for submission of Milestone billings (if any)Coordinate with stakeholders for Installation, testing and commissioning at sitescope and get approvals for time extension, additional cost etcProject handing over, as-built drawings, commercial closure etc and collection of PAC, close out of snags & FAC

Knowledge, Skills And Experience
Graduate in Electrical engineering with Min Experience of 5-8 years.Must have expereince in project execution service industry for different product. Experience in GIS projects, Substation projects or similar project related to Design, supply installation of High Voltage equipment is most preferred..Preference will be given to those who have expereince working with global customersShould possess strong leadership skills and ability to convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.Ability to work under pressure to deliver the projects with time, cost and quality.
