Maintenance Engineer

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Operations:

Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of production and laboratory equipment Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime Conduct regular equipment inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur Maintain detailed equipment records, maintenance logs, and service history Manage spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components

Team Management

Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians and support staff Assign maintenance tasks and monitor progress and quality of work Provide on-the-job training and guidance to maintenance staff Conduct performance evaluations and coordinate professional development

Safety & Compliance

Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, ISO standards, and company policies Implement and monitor health and safety protocols for maintenance operations Conduct safety audits and investigations for maintenance-related incidents Maintain OSHA compliance and coordinate safety training programs

Planning & Documentation

Prepare maintenance budgets and monitor expenditures Track maintenance KPIs and provide performance reports to Manager Identify and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements Document maintenance procedures and update maintenance manuals

Facility Management

Oversee maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and utility systems Ensure facility cleanliness and proper functioning of all building systems Coordinate with vendors and external service providers for specialized maintenance

Education

Relevant bachelor's degree

Experience

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in maintenance management or operations Proven track record of managing maintenance teams and achieving KPIs Experience in optical/laboratory equipment maintenance is an advantage Experience with CMMS software and preventive maintenance planning Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other relevant quality and safety standards Optical qualifications and experience an advantage Digitally engaged Good knowledge of machine repairing and their equipment’s.
