About the roleAs a Lead Software Engineer, you will be a technical cornerstone in designing and delivering scalable,high-performance software solutions that power the subscription economy. You will guide the technical direction of complex projects while collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure architectural integrity. In this role, you will champion engineering best practices and mentor others to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

What you'll do• Lead the end-to-end technical design and architecture of high-throughput microservices using Core Java and Spring Boot.• Develop modular, maintainable, and reliable code that adheres to industry-leading design patterns and security standards.• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into scalable technical specifications.• Drive the adoption of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality software.• Facilitate technical design reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain system resilience and performance.• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex distributed system issues in cloud-native environments.• Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance to enhance the collective capability of the engineering organization.• Stay current with emerging technology trends, integrating modern tools and methodologies where they add significant value.

What you'll bring• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.• Expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, and building robust microservices architectures.• Proven experience in delivering high-performance applications within cloud-native environments.• Strong proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and the application of advanced software design patterns.• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, handle complex escalations, and apply critical thinking to high-impact architectural decisions.• Experience conducting thorough, quality-focused code reviews that ensure system security,maintainability, and performance.• Proficiency in utilizing AI-assisted coding tools and LLM-based productivity agents to enhancedevelopment workflows.• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field of study.

Nice to have• Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker in a production environment.• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and message queuing systems.• Experience building and fine-tuning internal AI-driven diagnostic tools or predictive system monitoring.• Familiarity with prompt engineering for automating routine documentation or unit test generation.• Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in technical communities.
