General Manager Consolidation & Financial Reporting - Chennai

Job DescriptionA General Manager - Consolidation & Financial Reporting in Olam Agri is responsible for managing the corporate consolidation function of the group and delivering accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. The role ensures robust financial controls, adherence to IFRS standards, and the establishment of effective, technology-enabled consolidation and reporting frameworks. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional, country, and business unit teams across geographies to drive standardization, improve reporting efficiency, and support strategic decision-making through high-quality financial insights.

ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements under IFRS (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, segment reporting, and notes)Manage multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation processes across global operationsOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles and ensure timely reporting for the listed entityPerform financial analysis and prepare key reports and CEO/CFO decksManage group audits and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirementsAct as IFRS Centre of Excellence, including handling complex transactions and technical accounting mattersDrive implementation of new IFRS standards, accounting policies, and impairment assessmentsCoordinate with country finance teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and standardisation of reportingResolve accounting and disclosure issues in collaboration with regional controllersSupport implementation and optimization of consolidation systems and reporting processes

Experience12+ years of post-qualification experience in group consolidation and financial reportingStrong expertise in IFRS / IND AS and complex accounting mattersProven experience in managing global consolidation across multiple entities and geographiesExperience in financial systems implementation; knowledge of SAP BPC preferred (exposure to OneStream/Hyperion is acceptable)Strong analytical ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights
