Exterior and Structural Systems Engineer

Engineering delivery and Project Management of Body Exterior Systems like BIW Sheetmetal, Glass, Static sealing etc.. across multiple programs to ensure quality, on-time and on-cost delivery to GPDS as per program scope.Ensure robust delivery of systems through the physical build phases (Verification Prototypes through Mass Production start and into ongoing production).Own the PD elements of the APQP process and ensure proper communication of Special Characteristics.Not only to Lead Launch Suppliers & Plants but down to localization & follow-on Launches.Own the interface between Purchasing, Finance, CAD, Functional Teams, Attributes, Studio, Supplier and Manufacturing.Deliver design compatibility between all interfacing systems and adhere to corporate design standards.Ensure Prevent Recurrence and lessons learnt are feedback into the Core Team to enhance corporate knowledge base.Support / lead cost reduction from idea generation to final implementation.Support as subject matter expert as per business need/program scope.Hands on Design and Release Experience in Sheet metal (or) Fixed Glass (or) Static sealing and worked closely with cross functional teams Package and/or CAD (CATIA V5 / TCE / VisMockup) experience is essential.Able to successfully bring cross functional team together across different cultures & time zones to ensure repeated delivery of your own & shared objectives.Highly proactive - able to demonstrate & inspire a 'can do' attitude.Show strong emotional maturity & resilience.Able to see the big picture with a strong drive to reach the right outcome for the business.Strong & consistent communicator, able to tailor appropriately.High level of integrity in maintaining work-plans and issue status.Able to hold oneself and others accountable for delivering against plans and prior commitments.High level of autonomy – able to work with little supervision but knows how to escalate at the right time.Excellent in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Power Point Work closely with suppliers/engineering/manufacturing/purchasing/quality/craftsmanship to ensure the lowest cost and best quality solution.Knowledge with Automotive design processes / Systems engineering Excellent project management skills to work with the team(s) to meet targets and objectives on time

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Automobile) or equivalent
