Job Overview

GENERAL ASSEMBLY PROCESS AND STANDARDS ENGINEER - Responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining stable and capable production/business processes as they pertain to equipment, facilities and tooling functionality following the World Class Manufacturing model.

Maintains both machine and equipment capabilities and reliability as they relate to safety, throughput, quality, equipment integrity and for monitoring/correcting related issues of assembly, body-in-white and torque tooling.Coordinates the development and documentation of Manufacturing Engineering GA processes through the creation and revisions of specifications. Incorporates logistic standards and global best practices for quality and safety. Reviews standards prepared with other departmental specialists to assure consistency with existing standards and those in other specialized disciplines. Cultivates and supports the growth GA process road map. Contributes to initiatives in Cost Deployment, Innovation, Early Program Management, Manufacturing Planning, Early Equipment Management, Process Design, Digital Manufacturing, Focused Improvement, Manufacturing Program Management and People Development Solves Manufacturing problems using SPW methodology (Focused Improvement) Participates in the development and implementation of manufacturing solutions through Innovation initiatives.
