The role

A legal counsel at an automotive manufacturing company drafts and negotiates commercial contracts, advises on data protection laws and supports arbitration matters. The role also applies legal research and contract management to business governance and compliance.

Job Description.

 Independently draft, review, negotiate simple and complex contracts including. NDA, Sale

and Purchase contract (both domestic and international), Vendor contract, Lease, Leave

and License Agreement, Warehousing Agreement, Transportation Agreement, MSA, MOU,

LOI, Indemnity bond, Employment contract and Service Contracts.

 Basic knowledge on JVA, Merger and Acquisition, Share Purchase, Shareholder Agreement.

 Basic litigating knowledge to support on handling arbitration matters and civil suits and co-

ordination with the panel of lawyers as and when required.

 Legal knowledge to support on industrial and labour related matters.

 Contract database management.

 Coordinate and support business team for final execution of all legal contracts.

 Coordinate with stakeholder for implementation of contract management and compliance

tool.

 Provide solutions within legal framework for smooth achievement of business objective.

 Ensure the contract meets the internal framework/guidelines for contracts/agreements.

 Pro-actively create and maintain various awareness program for employees (compliance

with) relevant laws and regulations.

 knowledge about data protection laws and related compliance

 Support on internal governance policies and regularly monitor compliance.

 Advising on general business law issues and managing the legal issues of all areas of the

company, including but not limited to corporate matters.

 Skilled in Legal research.

 Computer skill with basic excel knowledge.

 Ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.

Education and experience

 Experience in manufacturing industry.

 Experience in automotive industry will be an added advantage.

 Under-graduation in Law from a premier institution.

 Post graduation in Law would be an added advantage.

 Relevant PQE minimum 5 years.
