About The Role

Responsible for the design, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Workday, supporting global and local enhancements and change requests. Support the Talent Development and Performance functional areas. Analyze business requirements from HR and other users and translate them into effective Workday solutions. Provide system support and functional analysis to meet business needs. Present proposed solutions to key stakeholders and obtain approval for changes. Maintain alignment with the global Workday design template while maximizing native Workday capabilities. Communicate solutions, impacts, and recommendations clearly across stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, maintain, and optimize Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect for Benefits/Third-Party Payroll, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST). Develop and support PECI/PICOF payroll integrations, benefits carrier feeds, and integrations with ATS, Payroll, Financial, Time Tracking, and Time & Absence systems. Collaborate with middleware/iPaaS teams using Boomi, MuleSoft, or Workato where applicable. Build and maintain Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending Reports using Workday Report Writer, calculated fields, custom report fields, and RaaS (Report-as-a-Service). Develop Discovery Boards, Workday Dashboards, worklets, embedded reports, scorecards, and BIRT-formatted reports. Monitor and troubleshoot integration failures, reporting issues, scheduled-process errors, and data discrepancies. Perform root-cause analysis, implement solutions, and improve performance by reducing redundant or inactive objects. Partner with HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, and Talent teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Maintain clear documentation, including data mappings, error-handling logic, and support runbooks. Apply Workday security and governance practices, including ISU/ISSG security groups, domain and business-process security policies, and role-based access. Support SOX/audit requirements, evidence gathering, access reviews/certification, and change-control documentation. Support bi-annual Workday releases by assessing, testing, and updating affected integrations, reports, and configurations.

Requirements

Demonstrated Workday integration development experience, typically gained through approximately 4–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent demonstrated capability. Proficiency with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs), XSLT, XML, and XPath. Knowledge of PECI, PICOF, payroll/benefits interface patterns, Workday Business Process Framework (BPF), and event-driven configuration. Experience integrating Workday with ATS, Payroll, Financials, Time & Absence, or comparable third-party systems. Strong experience with Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Trending Reports, calculated fields, Report Writer, RaaS, Discovery Boards, Workday Dashboards, worklets, embedded reports, scorecards, and BIRT. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot integration and reporting issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience working within Agile/Kanban delivery environments is valued. A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related area is welcomed but not required. Equivalent professional experience, technical training, certifications, or demonstrated expertise will also be considered.
