Role DescriptionThe Senior Purchasing Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chandigarh, responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement activities for raw materials, packaging, and indirect supplies. This role includes developing and implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support production and new product launches. The Senior Purchasing Manager will monitor supplier performance, manage vendor relationships, and maintain compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards. Daily responsibilities include demand forecasting, cost optimization, inventory control, and close collaboration with manufacturing, R&D, finance, and logistics teams. The role also involves identifying new suppliers, mitigating supply chain risks, and driving continuous improvement in purchasing processes and systems.

### Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and proactive *Senior Manager – Purchase & Production* to manage procurement and production coordination for Mother Sparsh.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in *raw material and packaging procurement, preferably within the **skincare, cosmetics, beauty, or baby care industry*, along with a good understanding of production processes, vendor management, cost management, and cross-functional coordination.

### Key Responsibilities

*Procurement Management*

* Manage procurement of raw materials and packaging materials for cosmetic, skincare, and baby care products.* Identify, evaluate, and develop strong relationships with new and existing suppliers.* Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality.* Ensure timely availability and delivery of materials to support production requirements.* Conduct market research and attend relevant trade fairs/exhibitions across India to identify new suppliers, materials, and industry trends.

*Production Coordination*

* Coordinate closely with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.* Support production planning and scheduling to improve efficiency and minimize wastage.* Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams for smooth material movement and inventory management.

*R&D Support*

* Work closely with the R&D team to identify and procure suitable raw materials for new product development.* Keep updated on emerging trends and innovations in skincare, cosmetics, beauty, and baby care.

*Quality & Compliance*

* Ensure all procured materials meet company quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements.* Work with the Quality team to resolve material-related quality issues and implement corrective actions.

*Cost & Budget Management*

* Conduct cost-benefit analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization.* Support forecasting and variance analysis related to procurement.* Monitor procurement expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets.

*Team & Cross-functional Coordination*

* Work closely with Production, Quality, R&D, Supply Chain, and other relevant teams.* Participate in team discussions and proactively contribute ideas for process and cost improvement.

### Qualifications & Skills

* Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetology, or a related field.* 7–8 years of overall experience, with relevant procurement experience in *cosmetics, skincare, beauty, or baby care* preferred.* Strong knowledge of *raw materials and packaging materials* such as bottles, caps, monocartons, etc.* Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.* Good understanding of production planning and coordination.* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional teams.* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in cosmetics/skincare manufacturing will be an advantage.
