Maintenance Supervisor

The role will be responsible for ensuring high equipment reliability, uptime and maintenance efficiency of printing presses and associated machinery at the Chakan facility. The role will lead preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives, minimize mechanical breakdowns and support production teams in achieving consistent print quality and operational performance.The position will also oversee maintenance cost and spare-parts management, ensure adherence to HSE and machine safety standards, and maintain comprehensive maintenance documentation. The role will involve training and supervising maintenance personnel, driving maintenance best practices and supporting continuous improvement in equipment reliability, productivity and overall plant performance.

Equipment Reliability & Uptime: Ensure maximum availability of the printing presses (e.g., Heidelberg, KBA, Roland) by minimizing unscheduled mechanical breakdownsPreventive & Predictive Maintenance Management: Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance programs to extend press component lifespanPrint Quality & Precision Support: Support the production team in maintaining exceptional print consistency, accurate dot reproduction, and registration alignmentCost Optimization & Spare Parts Management: Control the engineering and maintenance department budget while preventing critical parts shortagesHealth, Safety, & Environment (HSE) Compliance: Secure a safe working environment by maintaining press safety guards, emergency stops, and proper chemical disposal practicesDocumentation: Maintaining detailed records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including work performed, parts used and equipment condition. Training and supervising maintenance staff to ensure they follow best practices and safety protocols.
