Position Overview:
The Remanufacturing Deputy Manager will oversee the refurbishment, repair, and quality controlprocesses for returned furniture and appliances. This role ensures that all remanufactured itemsmeet company quality standards, optimizing efficiency, reducing waste, and supportingsustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
● Supervise and coordinate the remanufacturing process, including inspection, repair refurbishment, and quality assurance.● Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in remanufacturing practices.● Work closely to manage the flow of returned and refurbished items.● Monitor and improve turnaround time for remanufacturing while maintaining high-quality output.● Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.● Train and mentor remanufacturing staff to enhance productivity and skill development.● Identify cost-saving opportunities by optimizing material usage and reprocessing methods.● Collaborate with procurement to source necessary spare parts and components.● Maintain detailed records of refurbishment activities, materials used, and product quality assessments.● Track & analyze production data to identify trends & areas for improvement.● Generate reports on remanufacturing efficiency, cost reductions, and waste management.
Qualifications & Skills:● Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.● 5-8 years of experience in remanufacturing, refurbishment, or production operations.● Knowledge of furniture or appliance refurbishment processes is a plus.● Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.● Ability to manage teams and work in a fast-paced environment.● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
