A network engineering unit head at a financial services company leads Cisco ACI, Viptela, and SDWAN infrastructure, drives network automation, and governs global delivery. The role also shapes datacenter networking roadmaps and operational governance.

Responsibilities
Manage large delivery teams and stakeholders across the globe.
Define strategic (short-medium) framework of the team to be in-line with organizational objectives and vision.
Lead, govern, and report business deliverables.
Negotiate and influence decisions by working with Unit/Tribe Head.
Initiate and execute medium to large size projects.
Be a third level of contact for any delivery resolutions.
Contribute to network and global Business Line value proposition.
Influence peers globally (N-/+3) and upwards in own or business partner's organization.
Accountable for people related objectives in a sub-Business Line.
Accountable for creating and maintaining sub-Business Line budgets.
Accountable for deliveries emanating from a sub-Business Line/tribe.
Create an impact of transformation on the functional scope of a tribe.
Propose innovation, renunciation and simplification. Contribute to forums of organizations and bring-in industry's standards.
Profile required
Technically Handson leader who has very good understanding on Cisco networking - Cisco ACI and SDWAN technologies
Define and own the roadmap for datacenter networking and wan ( SDWAN , MPLS ) , aligned with HCS transformation goals.
Good knowledge on technologies across Cisco networking
Act as a thought leader and change agent, influencing senior stakeholders, architects, and operations leaders.
Key actor to support Production from GSC . Act as Frontline Captain to support production topics . Manage escalation on HCS Productions with close follow up .
Reduce MTTR, incident volume, and manual intervention through AI or Automation
Establish automation KPIs and value metrics, tracking business impact.
Able to work independently with Global teams on Programs and Delivery areas on HCS SCN and CTY Topics
Build and Run support ( CTB & RTB ) for HCS SCN and CTY scope including technologies on Cisco ACI , Viptela , MAN
Contribute to Network AI and automation strategy development by aligning infrastructure roadmap with business and operational needs.
Good influencing skills
Stakeholder management with Senior onshore and offshore people . Ensure strong operational governance, vendor performance, and transparent reporting to senior leadership
Build and mentor a high-performing team of Senior network experts and Delivery managers
Key sponsor for topics like Automation and AI . Able to put forward Ideas to automate on network side
Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
