Technical Lead – Color Components

Job Summary / Purpose -

AkzoNobel’s Technology Integration Team is looking for a Technical Lead – Color Components to lead the technical delivery and lifecycle management of reusable technology components such as .NET libraries, NuGet packages, APIs and services.

The role combines hands-on software engineering leadership, people management, architecture, component lifecycle management and Agile/Scrum delivery. The person will lead and coach Component Engineers while ensuring that components are scalable, reusable, well-documented, secure and production-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and coach a team of Component Engineers and manage their performance and development.Own the lifecycle of reusable software components, APIs, services and NuGet packages.Define standards for versioning, backward compatibility, release management and documentation.Provide technical leadership on architecture, API/service design and integration patterns.Drive code quality, automated testing, CI/CD and security practices.Work closely with Product Owners to convert requirements into technically executable backlog items.Plan capacity, allocate work and manage technical delivery commitments.Coordinate release readiness and ensure operational readiness of services.Collaborate with R&D teams to translate scientific requirements into engineering specifications.Work with internal/external engineering teams and technology partners.Drive technical debt remediation, dependency upgrades and continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
