Job Title: Architect & Engineering Manager – Robotics Platform (ROS2 / Autonomy)

About The Role

We are building the next-generation Robot Vacuum Cleaner platform, and we’re looking for an experienced Architect & Engineering Manager to lead this effort. In this role, you will own the architecture and execution of autonomy, perception, and platform software built on ROS 2 / LG’s proprietary stack using C++. You will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team, driving delivery of a robust, reliable, and delightful consumer robot.

Responsibilities

Own the architecture of ROS 2 or LG proprietary stack–based autonomy systems, including SLAM, localization, planning, and perception modules.Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team; define goals, coach senior engineers, and ensure strong execution.Establish and enforce best practices for coding standards, testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance.Collaborate closely with Hardware, Product, QA, and Manufacturing teams to deliver a production-ready robotics platform.Optimize system performance for embedded Linux environments and meet real-time operational requirements.Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards; oversee vendor and partner engagements.

Qualifications

18+ years of experience in software engineering or robotics, including minimum 5 years leading engineering teams.Strong hands-on expertise in ROS 2 and modern C++ (C++17/C++20), with experience shipping autonomous or consumer robotic products.Deep understanding of SLAM, localization, motion planning, and sensor fusion.Proven track record in delivering production-grade robotics systems with measurable performance KPIs.
