Job Description :
- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and highly available backend applications aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Lead the design and implementation of high-performance, low-latency distributed systems capable of supporting large-scale business operations.
- Translate solution architecture into technical designs and deliver production-ready backend services using software engineering best practices.
- Conduct code reviews, design reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
- Drive application architecture discussions and influence technical design decisions across engineering teams.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, perform Proof of Concepts (POCs), and recommend technology adoption based on scalability, maintainability, and total cost of ownership.
- Build reusable components, frameworks, and automation capabilities to improve engineering efficiency and product reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Architecture to deliver business-critical features.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring engineers, resolving complex production issues, and eliminating recurring operational problems through root cause analysis.
- Lead lifecycle management of backend services, ensuring continuous improvements in reliability, scalability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Design and implement secure, resilient, and fault-tolerant backend systems while adhering to engineering standards and architectural best practices.
- Contribute to deployment automation, infrastructure readiness, disaster recovery planning, and production support activities.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across data acquisition, processing, storage, and operational workflows.
- Continuously improve system observability, monitoring, logging, and incident response processes to maintain high service availability.
- Promote Agile engineering practices by actively participating in sprint planning, technical discussions, backlog refinement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with evolving backend technologies, distributed computing paradigms, cloud-native architectures, and software development best practices to drive innovation within the engineering team.
Technical Skills & Expertise :
- Strong proficiency in Java, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and Core Java concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Microservices Architecture.
- Expertise in developing RESTful APIs and exposure to GraphQL.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture, and system design principles.
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Hands-on knowledge of NoSQL databases including MongoDB, Cassandra, and Redis.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, monitoring, and production support experience.
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
