Qualcomm customer engineering team is engaged in offering optimized solutions to Qualcomm ADAS/Autonomy SoCs. We are seeking engineers who can lead ADAS solution level functional safety Architecture.

The job requires understanding and defining of the Safety Concept and Architecture of ADAS solution, Software Safety requirements, defining and deploying safety processes and development of Safety software by following the ISO26262, SOTIF and related software processes. Interaction with customers, architects and test/integration teams is required as part of the job. The job also involves working with the safety managers and Software quality team for adherence of ISO26262/SOTIF/ASPICE processes.

As a Qualcomm Functional Safety ADAS/AD Systems Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop ADAS/AD solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience10-15 years of industry experience in Systems, Embedded Software, and Safety Engineering in in the automotive domain2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.Strong Software Engineer with good knowledge and hands-on experience in Design/Development/Debugging aspects of Board support package (BSP) on one or more of operating systems like Linux, Android, Greenhills Integrity and QNX embedded systems. Provide direct support to Qualcomm customers and partner with the design, development and debug of Qualcomm reference designs SW related issues and helping to customize/optimize software to meet the product requirements using the features in Qualcomm SOC.The Candidate must quickly ramp-up onto an existing project, understand Automotive platform Hardware and Software driver architecture, read/write technical specifications/requirements, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and work closely with external customers to customize and launch their new products.Experience with Linux Android, QNX and Hypervisors Real-time operating systemsWorking Experience with device drivers, stability, system architectureExperience with USB, UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe, EthernetGood understanding of hardware blocks - Clocks, PLLs, GPIO, Interrupt Controllers (GIC), and their SW architecture for porting and debuggingExperience in using debugging tools such as JTAG, and oscilloscope/Logical Analyzer.Deep understanding of ARM architectureExperience with System performance profiling and optimizationStrong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.Documentation: Create clear technical documentation for designs, code, and test procedures.Hardware Bring-Up: Collaborate with hardware engineers to enable software stack on silicon and emulation platforms, debug hardware-software interactions, and ensure seamless integration.

Preferred Qualification:

Experience in functional safety software architecture in Automotive Domain: Safety software architecture specification, Safety Requirements definition, safety software developmentGood understanding of functional safety software process, especially ISO26262 part-6Experience in Safety Analysis (FMEA, DFA, FTA)Experience in defining Software architecture, Software Design, and implementation of Embedded software for Automotive SoCsGood understanding of SoC architecture, ARM architecture, SoC Peripherals, low level BSP Software/drivers, RTOSExperience with tools for static analysis, code coverageKnowledge and experience of ASPICE /ISO26262 or equivalent Quality standardsKnowledge of various tools and methods related for functional safety/ISO26262 (Requirements Management, Static/dynamic analysis, Safety Analysis, Safety software design, implementation, and testing)

Lead functional safety initiatives for complex SoC softwareCollaborate with development teams, partners, and customers on functional safety tasksEngage in external/customer safety discussions, audits, and support corrective actionsMaintain expertise in automotive functional safety practices and drive timely gap closureEnhance software processes and outputs to meet safety standardsManage functional safety and architecture frameworks in automotive contextsDefine safety software architecture and requirementsDevelop and implement robust safety plansEnsure strict adherence to ISO26262 and ASPICE standards

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.
